Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of relationrx.org and the Relation Therapeutics research platform (collectively, the "Service") operated by Relation Therapeutics Ltd ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") (84 Wood Lane, Translation and Innovation Hub, London W12 0BZ, United Kingdom). By accessing or using the Service you accept these Terms.
The Service is a pre-clinical research tool that provides computational biology researchers and drug discovery teams with access to single-cell genomics foundation model outputs, including cell-population analyses and drug target hypotheses. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, clinical guidance, or a recommendation to advance any compound into human studies. The Company is not a clinical-stage organisation and does not offer medical or legal advice.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer-protection legislation.
2. Eligibility and Account Access
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- Access to the research portal requires an account. Accounts are granted by the Company following review of an access request. You must provide accurate and complete information when applying.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Accounts are personal and may not be shared with or transferred to third parties without our prior written consent.
3. Permitted Use
The Service is made available for pre-clinical research purposes, specifically to assist drug discovery and translational research teams in generating and exploring cell-type-resolved target hypotheses. Permitted use includes:
- Querying the platform with disease indication and tissue context for internal research purposes;
- Reviewing and using target hypothesis outputs for non-clinical exploratory research within your organisation;
- Accessing the platform API (where enabled) to integrate outputs into your internal bioinformatics pipelines.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that violates applicable law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its underlying infrastructure, or any other user's account;
- Systematically scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service beyond what your account access permits;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or any component of it, except as expressly permitted by law;
- Use the Service to make, endorse, or support clinical or regulatory submissions or to make representations to patients, prescribers, or the public about drug safety or efficacy.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the underlying foundation model, software, data infrastructure, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by UK and international intellectual-property law. Access to the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service solely for the permitted purposes described in these Terms. No ownership or broader intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.
The target hypothesis outputs generated by the platform are provided under this limited licence. You may use them for internal non-clinical research purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, or distribute platform outputs as a stand-alone data product.
5. Your Submissions
When you submit disease indication descriptions, research context, or other information through the Service (collectively, "Submissions"), you retain ownership of your Submissions. You grant the Company a limited licence to use, store, and process your Submissions solely to provide and operate the Service, including to generate the platform outputs you requested.
We do not use your Submissions to train or fine-tune the platform's foundation model without your separate, explicit written consent. The model is trained on publicly available single-cell genomics reference datasets. See our Privacy Policy for details of how we handle data you provide.
6. Research-Tool Nature of the Service
The target hypotheses, cell-population rankings, and gene candidates produced by the Service are computational outputs generated from publicly available genomics reference data. They are provided as research tools to assist exploratory scientific thinking, not as conclusions. The Company makes no representation that any output will lead to a successful drug target, a viable candidate molecule, or a clinically effective treatment. Independent scientific validation of any output remains your responsibility.
The Company does not give medical advice, clinical advice, or legal advice through the Service or otherwise.
7. Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
Where you enter into a paid distance contract with us as a consumer, you have a 14-day right to cancel that contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, email us at [email protected] with a clear statement of your decision to cancel. We will refund any sums paid within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.
8. Disclaimers and Statutory Rights
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any specific target hypothesis output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular research purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. Consumer statutory rights, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, are not affected by these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or in connection with the Service will not exceed GBP 100, except for liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law. This limitation does not apply to the categories of liability described in Section 8.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by applicable law, or if we discontinue the Service. We will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of discontinuation where practicable. Sections 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12 will survive termination of these Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising from or connected with these Terms or the Service, subject to your right as a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If the changes are material, we will notify active account holders by email. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms come into effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
